Far beyond the range of human hearing, and deep beneath your feet, the planet is singing, a deep and perpetual coloratura that has long puzzled scientists. Like whale song that rings across innumerable fathoms, the Earth’s voice is only able to be heard through specialized instruments - in this case, seismometers. Now, scientists are discovering that it is far more complex than previously thought. Researcher’s call it the Earth’s Hum. From Taos, New Mexico, to Kokomo, Indiana, to Vancouver, Canada, to Bristol, England, some strange vibration is reaching into the heads of certain individuals, while others remain completely oblivious.
